Farewell Lamborghini Gallardo
The Lamborghini Gallardo was first introduced on the 2003 Geneva Auto Show and it has captured the heart of car enthusiasts all over the world. A true depiction of the Italian car make, Gallardo still remains as the best-selling Lamborghini sports car and still holds the best recorded lap times.
The last model of Gallardo is an LP 570-4 Spyder Performante . It is car number 14,022 and was made especially for a private collector. The said car has left the production line last November and has marked the end of Lamborghini Gallardo bloodline.
Lamborghini Gallardo, as most of us knew, is one of the best super sports cars in the history. It is known for its remarkable dynamics, extreme design and excellent features. The Italian car maker has released a total of 32 Gallardo versions. The first generation Gallardo was exceptional but enhancement were done to improved driving experience, thus Gallardo Spyder was born in 2005. Gallardo Superleggera follows on 2007 and it boast of its lightweight but solid built and increased horsepower. In 2008, the second generation Gallardo and Spyder arrived with new, more powerful engine and enhanced features. Two years after, a more powerful Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera joined the line-up and not long after a convertible Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante follows. Lamborghini also released limited edition LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni and LP 550-2 Spyder with rear wheel drive for the purist sports car fanatics.
Most car enthusiasts are more than satisfied with the Gallardo bloodlines but Lamborghini never ceases to impress. That is why they created and released Super Trofeo Stradale and Gallardo Squadra Corse. These two have sealed Gallardo’s fate as the top super sports car. Lamborghini took the level a little further by offering exceptionally high variety of individualization for each and every customer. Car enthusiasts who purchased Lamborghini V10 were allowed to personalize their cars to suit their need and wants perfectly. This gave birth to various limited editions and exclusive versions, one of which is the Gallardo Polizia Stradale.
Lamborghini Gallardo continues to amaze the whole world. However the Italian car maker has decided that it’s time for Gallardo’s bloodline to end. They want to leave a golden mark for Gallardo’s success story and don’t want to spoil everything by producing too many. Lamborghini Gallardo started out as a concept and now it will leave the production as a legend.
